How big is it?
These ceramic platters measure approximately 27cm wide and 6.5cm deep, so they’re a good size for a serving dish or even a fruit bowl in the centre of the kitchen table.
The handmade process
The inside of each blue ceramic platter is glazed with a semi-matt blue interior with a splash of green that stripes through the centre. The outside is unglazed, so the clay is left in its natural state. This gives a gorgeous contrast in texture with the rough clay exterior and velvety smooth interior.
Because they’re made by hand in my Wiltshire studio, no two ceramic platters are ever quite the same as one another, but that’s exactly what I love about handmade ceramics.
