Description
Hanging plants are a lovely way to add a bit of greenery and calm to your home, and this handmade ceramic planter is just the right size for a trailing plant. Hang it in the bathroom with a moisture-loving fern, or try popping it in the kitchen to grow some fresh herbs.
How big is it?
This ceramic hanging planter will fit a plant pot that measures up to 12cm wide and 10cm tall, with an extra little bit of wiggle room. You also have the option of repotting your plants directly into the plant pot, but I’d advise putting a little gravel at the bottom for better drainage.
The handmade process
Each of these hand-thrown hanging planters is glazed all over on the outside to ensure it is completely watertight. First, I dip it in a shiny glaze that highlights the natural speckle of the clay before dipping it for a second time in a white glaze that reaches around three-quarters of the way up.
Because they’re hand-thrown on my potter’s wheel in my Wiltshire studio, no two ceramic planters are identical, but that’s what I love about handmade ceramics.
Looking for a handmade gift?
Moving into a new place doesn’t feel complete until there’s at least one houseplant around, so this ceramic hanging planter makes such a lovely housewarming present to help them settle into their new home.
If you are buying this hanging planter as a present and want me to wrap it for you, simply select the ‘Gift Wrap’ option once it’s in your cart, and I’ll ensure your handmade ceramic is beautifully packaged so it’s ready for you to gift straight away.
