Description

A hand-thrown ceramic planter, perfect for plant lovers looking for another pot for their houseplant collection. Pop in a pothos, a peace lily or a little monstera or any other medium-sized plant, but it’s also great in the kitchen for growing some fresh herbs, too.

How big is it?

This ceramic planter will comfortably fit a plant pot around 12cm wide and 10cm tall, leaving a little bit of wiggle room on either side. You also have the option of repotting your plants directly into the plant pot, but I’d advise putting a little gravel at the bottom for better drainage.

The handmade process

Each of these ceramic plant pots is glazed all over on the outside to ensure it is completely watertight. First, I dip it in a shiny glaze that highlights the natural speckle of the clay before dipping it for a second time in a white glaze that reaches around three-quarters of the way up. I then dip it about halfway up for a final time in my midnight blue glaze. Midnight is a deep, inky blue that reminds me of the calm of the night sky.

Because they’re hand-thrown on my potter’s wheel in my Wiltshire studio, no two ceramic planters are identical, but that’s what I love about handmade ceramics.

Looking for a handmade gift?

The perfect birthday gift or Christmas present for a plant lover who’s always adding ‘just one more’ to their ever-growing houseplant collection. They’ll love having a beautiful ceramic plant pot to show off their favourite plant (and also gives them a very nice excuse to take yet another trip to the garden centre!)

If you are buying this ceramic plant pot as a present and want me to wrap it for you, simply select the ‘Gift Wrap’ option once it’s in your cart, and I’ll ensure your handmade ceramic is beautifully packaged so it’s ready for you to gift straight away.
