Description
This ceramic planter is just the thing for your growing collection of houseplants. Perfect for your medium-sized plants, it’s a lovely way to bring more greenery into your home, instantly making your space feel more cosy and inviting.
How big is it?
This ceramic planter will comfortably fit a plant pot around 12cm wide and 10cm tall, leaving a little bit of wiggle room on either side. You also have the option of repotting your plants directly into the plant pot, but I’d advise putting a little gravel at the bottom for better drainage.
The handmade process
Each of these ceramic plant pots is glazed all over on the outside to ensure it is completely watertight. First, I dip it in a shiny glaze that highlights the natural speckle of the clay before dipping it for a second time in a white glaze that reaches around three-quarters of the way up. I then dip it for a final time about halfway in my sea dawn glaze combo. Sea Dawn is a soft, misty gradient of pale sky-blue fading into creamy beige, which reminds me of the coastline first thing in the morning.
Because they’re hand-thrown on my potter’s wheel in my Wiltshire studio, no two ceramic planters are identical, but that’s what I love about handmade ceramics.
Looking for a handmade gift?
Every home needs a houseplant or two, so this ceramic planter would make such a lovely housewarming present that will make their new place feel instantly more like home. Fill it with a fresh plant, and you’ve given them not only something beautiful, but something that will grow with them as they settle into their new space.
If you are buying this ceramic plant pot as a present and want me to wrap it for you, simply select the ‘Gift Wrap’ option once it’s in your cart, and I’ll ensure your handmade ceramic is beautifully packaged so it’s ready for you to gift straight away.
