Description
Every home needs a good ceramic jug, I think they’re a real home essential. Great for serving drinks at the table, but can also be used as an impromptu vase around the house or on the kitchen counter as a home for the utensils you need close at hand when cooking.
How big is it?
This ceramic jug holds 800ml, which makes it a good size for serving water at the dinner table.
The handmade process
I glaze each handmade ceramic jug on the inside with my classic white glaze before dipping it from the top down so that the white covers the top of the jug to the base of the handle. The bottom part of the jug is unglazed to create a beautiful contrast in textures where the clay is left in its natural state.
Because they’re hand-thrown on my potter’s wheel in my Wiltshire studio, no two pouring jugs are ever the same, but that’s what I love about handmade ceramics.
Looking for a handmade gift?
This handmade ceramic pouring jug makes a lovely housewarming gift for anyone moving into a new home. It’s one of those things that people don’t always buy for themselves, but once they have it, they’ll realise what a useful and practical gift it is.
If you are buying this as a present and want me to wrap it for you, simply select the ‘Gift Wrap’ option once it’s in your cart, and I’ll ensure your hand-thrown ceramic jug is beautifully packaged so it’s ready for you to gift straight away.
