How big is it?
These ceramic dinner plates measure approximately 26cm wide, with a 1.5cm rim. Perfect for everyday dining.
The handmade process
This white ceramic dinner plate has a shiny white glaze applied to the top,while the outside is unglazed, leaving the clay to be fired in its natural state. This gives a gorgeous contrast in texture with the rough clay exterior and velvety smooth interior. I’ve also made this dinner plate with a neat rim, which stops any sauces from escaping off the side.
Because they’re hand-thrown on my potter’s wheel in my Wiltshire studio, every ceramic plate is completely one of a kind, but that’s exactly what I love about handmade ceramics.
