Description
A lovely, hand-thrown ceramic tumbler you can use for hot and cold drinks. Just the right size for a morning flat white or cappuccino, but I also love having these tumblers on the dinner table with a jug of water to share. The smooth shape makes this lovely to hold in your hands; a proper handmade treat, whatever you like to drink.
How big is it?
These ceramic mugs hold approximately 250ml, which is just the right size for flat whites and other coffees.
The handmade process
Each of these hand-thrown ceramic tumblers is glazed inside with a shiny white glaze that highlights the natural speckle of the clay. I then dip the outside in one of four glaze combos. Finally, the bottom of the cup is wiped clean to leave an unglazed rim, creating a lovely contrast in textures where the clay shows through at the bottom. Misty Morning is a soft, pale grey-blue with a subtle speckled texture that reminds me of the quiet calm before the day begins.
Because they’re hand-thrown on my potter’s wheel in my Wiltshire studio, no two ceramic tumblers are identical, but that’s what I love about handmade ceramics.
