How big is it?
Each ceramic soap dish is the perfect size for a regular bar of soap, so you can keep your sink or bath nice and clean and tidy.
The handmade process
Each handmade ceramic soap dish is hand-thrown on my potter’s wheel with a deep spiral thrown in during the shaping process. Once fired, I glaze the top of each dish with one of three different coloured glazes (either white, grey or midnight). The rim and underside are left unglazed, which gives it a beautiful contrast in texture: the roughness of the natural clay and the velvety smoothness of the glaze.
Because they’re hand-thrown on my potter’s wheel in my Wiltshire studio, no two ceramic soap dishes are ever identical, but that’s what I love about handmade ceramics.
